Behavior Modification

If you're having problems with digging, barking, shyness, aggression or other behavior related problems, we have a solution for you!

Behavior modification is the traditional term for the use of empirically demonstrated behavior change techniques to increase or decrease the frequency of behaviors, such as altering an individual's behaviors and reactions to stimuli through positive and negative reinforcement. The modern technique for behavior modification is now known as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which analyzes the root causes and purpose for a behavior to come up with a solution.

Behaviors are caused by a complex series of factors such as the dogs genetics, disposition, past experiences, health, available resources, and many more. To solve any behavior problem, you must first understand the behavior itself, its cause, and its purpose. Once you understand the true cause of a behavior you can begin treating the problem.

For this reason we require that every Behavior Modification program begin with a simple, on-site, evaluation. These evaluations are low cost and are designed to diagnose the problem being experienced. The trainer will listen to the problems that you are experiencing and ask questions so that a full understaning of the issue can be reached. The trainer will then observe the behavior, if it can be duplicated safely, so that they may assess the situation first hand. Once the problem has been diagnosed the trainer will advise you on how to proceed.

No matter what the cause or case we strive to do what is in the best interest of canine and family.
